KES'2007

11th International Conference on

Knowledge-Based Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems

In conjunction with WIRN’07- Italian Workshop on Neural Networks, 12–14 September 2007

Vietri Sul Mare, near Salerno, Italy

Call for Paper

Invited Session on Condensation Algorithms and their Applications

bullet_25.gif Purpose :

This Invided Session aims to discuss bring together researcher interested from difference fields like as, the particle filters, with an opportunity to exchange information and new ideas, and to discuss new developments in the different fields. It is visualized that areas of interaction will be further explored and common applications will be considered with focus on the "CONDENSATION algorithms and their applications"

 bullet_25.gif Description:

Many modern signal processing problems involve systems that are nonlinear and nonstationary. Data-driven models that are based on powerful function approximation methods such as neural networks have been applied with demonstrable success to these problems. Nonstationarity imposes a particular difficulty in these settings because regularization techniques such as cross validation can be inapplicable.  In this session, we will discuss what particle filters are, and present how they are applicable in the various fields.

The conference proceedings will be published and distributed by Springer-Verlag in Lecture Notes in AI as part of the LNCS/LNAI series.

Please refer to the LNCS Authors Instructions web site for directions on the Final Paper Format which must be strictly followed for all papers that are to appear in the proceedings.

Please note that papers should be no longer than eight pages in LNCS format. Papers longer than this will be subject to an additional page charge. All oral and poster papers must be presented by one of the authors who must register and pay fees.

The Editors of the Proceedings are to be announced.

Papers for this session must be submitted through the conference site server, copies can be sent by e-mail to Yang Weon Lee

All oral and poster papers must be presented by one of the authors who must register for the conference and pay the fee.

Extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in the KES Journal (International Journal of Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Engineering Systems) published by IOS Press.

bullet_25.gif Important Dates :
